Update Chassis Properties form

The Update Chassis Properties form enables you to update the physical attributes of the selected chassis. If you use this form to change the equipment type of the selected chassis, the other attributes, such as length, height, and ISO class, that are derived from the equipment type are also updated.

To update the physical attributes of one record:

1. In the list view, select the record for which you want to update the physical attributes.

2. Select the Actions Update Chassis Properties option.

The Update Chassis Properties form displays the existing information for the record.

3. Update the physical attributes for the selected record.

4. Click Save.

To update the physical attributes of multiple records:

1. In the list view, select the records for which you want to update the physical attributes.

2. Select the Actions Update Chassis Properties option.

SPARCS N4 displays the fields in the Update Chassis Properties form as view-only with a check box to the left of each field label.

3. Select the check box to the left of the field label of the field that you want to edit.

The field becomes editable.

Do not select the check box for a field that you do not want to update for all the selected records. If you select a check box and do not enter a value, the field is set to null for all the selected records.

4. Select or enter a value in the field.

The updated values apply to all the selected records.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to update other fields for the selected records.

6. Click Save.
